Stephen Collins Filed for Divorce from Longtime Wife

LOS ANGELES, May 7 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Stephen Collins announced Monday he and his actress wife Faye Grant are divorcing after 27 years of marriage.

In the nearly five years since '7th Heaven,' TV's longest running family drama, went off the air, much has changed for many of the show's original cast.

While Grant admits her surprise that Collins was filing for divorce, the former '7th Heaven' actor himself says in his statement, 'My wife and I are moving forward separately in our lives.'
